✨Rosehip was born from love✨

After graduating with a Fine Arts degree from BGSU and working as a ballroom dance instructor for the majority of my 20's- I started to crave a quieter life where I could work with my hands, be in nature, and grow my skills again as a fine artist. I was drawn to floristry. It seemed to have all of the qualities and values that I was searching for in a career. Following a little encouragement from my friends I made calls around Columbus, OH to see if anyone would be willing to teach me floral design. In 2020 began training- I attended workshops, memorized flower varieties and care, participated in and taught classes, and volunteered time. I learned contemporary floral design, gradually took on more responsibility, and became a lead floral designer. In 2022 my partner helped convert the spare bedroom of our rental home into a studio to dry flowers and make arrangements for our wedding... and since then it's remained that way.
We were married among the rosehips of the Maine coastline. That's how Rosehip began. Birthed from the encouragement of friends who care, from a husband who supports my passions, and from my love of the natural world; working with it instead of against it.
